Prismatic is a contemporary exploration of housing within a suburban environment of evolving scale. Taking into account the prevailing architectural character of the area, the design intent was to simplify forms and reinterpret fundamental architectural elements through a contemporary and disciplined approach.
The proposal transforms the permitted building envelope into an architectural structure through the fragmentation and hierarchical arrangement of prismatic volumes. Rather than being perceived as a single compact mass, the building is conceived as a system of articulated entities governed by a clear geometric logic.
Two vertical planes constitute the dominant compositional elements, defining and separating the building into two primary volumes while simultaneously marking the entrance at ground level. These planes form the shared circulation core and operate as a stable spatial reference. Extending from basement to roof, they organize the vertical development and shape the prismatic identity of the building.
This articulation reduces the perceived scale of the overall mass and introduces rhythm to its presence. The residential units are organized in alternating floor layouts, generating subtle volumetric variation. Projections, recesses, and balconies act as elements of depth and shadow, reinforcing the reading of the individual prisms.
Prismatic proposes a residential building that responds to the contemporary suburban condition with geometric clarity and controlled presence.
